Buffalo kids don’t come home from school and throw a football around. They strap huge pads to their legs, drag a white net strung over orange tubes out of the garage, and with the agility of an Olympic gymnast, block tennis balls until dinner.
Buffalo WANTS a Super Bowl win, but it NEEDS a Stanley Cup.
A big part of that is the fact that the Buffalo Sabres games featured Rick Jeanneret, the greatest play-by-play man in NHL history. Jeanneret was to the NHL what Vin Scully was to MLB and John Madden was to the NFL.
