A Preview Of Music, Film, Books, And Art Coverage

When I began publishing Media Room I had 20 years of concert reviews, book reviews, political commentary, and legal analysis scattered all over the internet. My body of work consisted whatever I could write during time stolen from a busy law practice.

In 2023, I put it all at Media Room (until March 2024 it was encumbered with the awkward title, The Sounds of a Failing Democracy) and kept adding to it, as I had no idea how long I would be able to continue writing full time.

As 2025 begins Media Room is growing quickly. Traffic increased 200% from March to December.

The biggest change Media Room readers will see in the new year is that all content will be related to the arts. Essays related to current events, history, politics, and law will be posted at American Karma, which launches soon.

All Media Room subscribers will become American Karma subscribers at the same level (founding, paid, free).
