The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra closes its season this weekend with a performance of Mahler’s monumental Symphony #2, posthumously labeled “Resurrection.”
The Resurrection is Mahler’s 90 minute answer to Beethoven’s Ninth, including a large orchestra, solo voices, and themes of death, life, and resurrection.
