Introducing 'American Karma'

A New Substack From The Publisher of "Media Room" Launches January 2025

As of January 2025 Media Room will be devoted exclusively to the arts. Essays on Media Room related to politics, history, and law will migrate to a second site, American Karma.

Founding and paid subscribers to Media Room will automatically become paid subscribers to American Karma at no additional cost.

American Karma looks at American history, politics, and culture to understand how we got to where we are.

In addition to commentary on current events, essays will examine how we have failed to confront the implications of Native American genocide, chattel slavery, and our anti-democratic interventions abroad.

Among other themes, American Karma will develop the idea that this failure has created a dysfunctional relationship with our government.

American Karma is also a book project, with a projected release in Fall 2027.
