The first time I listened to Everything is Going to be OK I felt like my younger self experiencing Led Zeppelin for the time, simply absorbing new, fascinating sounds.
During the next several listens I was able to articulate what my childhood self could not, that GoGo Penguin’s jazz trio format embraced hiphop and house music’s breakbeats, while adding electronica soundscapes to create something original and beautiful.
